Blue Corn Cafe What's the secret ingredient to a successful multi-cultural marriage of the chefs/owners. Danielle Martini-Rios and husband, Antonio Rios, are as adventuresome and fearless in the kitchen as they are in their worldly travels and schooling. Danielle, of Italian decent, lived in Miami for many years. Thus, her love and knowledge of both Cuban and Puerto Rican cuisine. Antonio brings "true" Mexican flavors to the table, especially in his homemade sauces and salsas. The Blue Corn Cafe, Durham's only Latin-American Restaurant, is right at home in the eclectic surroundings of Ninth Street. Weather permitting, there is limited outdoor cafe seating available. However,the cozy inside is just as appealing, with local artists providing an ever changing display of work for sale. |
